Zorbas – Ballett-Suite by Mikis Theodorakis

Ballet director Roberto Scafati once again brings Theodorakis’ most famous work to the stage with the opera choir and the dancers of the Trier Ballet. Zorbas, freedom-loving, spontaneous and fearless, together with his friend John, the philosopher and writer, manages to convince the small and close-knit village community to reactivate a mine. The fate of the two female figures, the widow Marina and Madame Hortense, moves the village and the strangers alike.
